Nothing is more essential to freedom than the free market.  A free market is necessary for freedom and when carried out consistently by people who respect the underlying principle of individual rights.

Each of us, as members of the human species, shares the elemental right to take action for their own survival.  As a species, humanity formed communities, small bands of individuals who understood their survival depended on cooperative efforts. A study of anthropology, biology, and the patterns of behavior of these early forbearer's, tells us women were the foremost leaders for ensuring the survival of these early peoples.

This rebuts the assertions of thousands of years of male-oriented control of assets and the inventions of women.  We suggest you read, Women's Work:  The First 20,000 Years Women, Cloth, and Society in Early Times
by Elizabeth Wayland Barber.

As you will see, women invented all of the first technologies and tools which brought us to the what, today, we see as the human world.

The transition to male-dominated property took place through the take over of the original sacred understandings  of the natural world, which originated from the observations and innovations of women.  Only after long resistance is this fact being accepted, grudgingly by many. But it is important because cooperation and compassion were first learned from mothers, who were always at the source and core of humanity.

Motherhood is universally understood for its responsibilities, actions, and our reactions to it.  There are multiple cultural practices for 'fatherhood', which is a cultural adaption, not based in biological function.

The species we are now has been through generations of adjustment and traumatic events.  War, genocide, slavery, cannibalism, and human sacrifice.  These are part of our history, inherently violent, and ignore our individual right to act for our own, individual survival and well being.

Any system for human relations must be based on the facts, not on assertions, no matter how long held, which manipulate or hide the reality of human history.

The American Economic Foundation was a power for explaining the free market to Americans and we remain grateful to those men who began and continued its work.  Unfortunately, its operations ceased in 2003.  Today, it is needed more than ever before.   Short History
